Why buy a Kit boat?

Boat Building has always been complex because lofting from plans can be quite a difficult task. Some designers still work in Imperial sizes (feet & inches) and sizes are given in old builders format that no longer exist on current tape measures.

Because:

  • it's simpler, CNC cut kits allow you to avoid all the hassles of lofting from boat plans.
  • it's cost effective, some boats we cut save up to 4.5 sheets of plywood over the designers list.
  • it saves time, a 26ft boat can have its bulkheads ready to set up in just four hours of opening the crate. This includes the joining of the special scarphs we have also pre-cut.
  • it prevents errors kits are pre-cut on our Computer Driven Mini Overhead Router.
